WorkSync Services · Operations

Ranked, routed work the crew will actually run.

The crews are busy. Whether they are busy on the right things is a different question, and it is the one this program answers, on your own production data rather than a benchmark.

For VP Operations, Ops Director

Objective 03 on the WorkSync Services list

The objective
Improve the efficiency of field operations
Who owns it
VP Operations, Ops Director
The first yes
One operating area, ranked and routed. The assessment prices it, and the first month proves it.
How it starts
A 2 to 4 week assessment. Fixed fee, defined scope.

Who this is for

Improve the efficiency of field operations

Route-based rounds visit every well on a cycle whether or not it needs anything, priority gets decided by habit and proximity, and nobody can say which job in the morning queue carries the most dollars. The wells changed. The route did not.

What we hear

  • The crews are busy and I cannot tell you whether they are busy on the right things.
  • The route has not changed in years. The wells have.

What sets it off

Flat headcount against a growing well count, an acquisition, a cost mandate, or a field system that went live and is not being opened.

It is rarely the only objective on the owner’s year, which is why the assessment prices one asset group rather than the estate.

What we do

Discover, Align, Capture.

The same three moves on every objective. What changes is what gets discovered, what gets aligned and what gets captured.
  1. Discover

    Read it as it runs

How work is actually chosen today, at 6 AM, by the person choosing it.
  2. Align

    Decide once, together

Every exception priced in dollars at risk, ranked, and sequenced against competency and access.
  3. Capture

    Keep it honest

The week-zero metric reported monthly, and the operating rhythm that keeps the list honest.

We are not here to replace your stack. Most of what we have delivered runs on systems you already own. We add software only where it improves the operating model.

What you get

Everything here is yours to keep and yours to run.

Each line carries its basis, which is how you can tell what we have delivered from what would be a first.

DELIVERED
We built it for a client and handed it over.
FOUNDER EXPERIENCE
A founder led it inside an operator, in an operator role.
RUNS TODAY
Live in our software.
WITH YOUR TEAM
We have the components and the people, this exact thing would be a first, and we say so.

Founder record: remote sites automated at scale and a central operations center stood up from nothing, so that central decisions were possible at all. Delivered in 2025: the flag logic, the data lineage from SCADA and well data to the daily prioritized list, and a tank-level prediction specification, documented for that operator’s own prioritization system. The ranking method is the one WellOPS runs today. Plunger-lift management and failure analysis were delivered for the same operator. We have no artificial lift uplift percentage of our own, and we will not invent one.

What is on the record

Maverick Natural Resources, founder record and a 2025 engagement

15% free cash flow, same crew, same wells: field cash flow on the wells in scope, never company level, reconciled through the operator’s own accounting close. 35% fewer miles driven on the same coverage.

Founder experience at Maverick Natural Resources. Field level, never company level

Also in this practice

Two more objectives run on the same program.

Same method, same basis vocabulary, a different question. They are named here because operators buy them together more often than separately.
04

Decrease downtime on what carries the value

Production Manager, Reliability

  • The same wells keep failing and nobody can tell me why in less than a week.
  • Our deferred production number is a guess with a decimal point.

Repeat failures, a reliability push, a workover budget under pressure, or a deferred production number nobody trusts.

Discover
Failure history rebuilt from the daily records that already exist.
Align
Cause coded to one standard list, run life and time between failures tracked per well, and criticality ranked on consequence rather than nameplate.
Capture
The failure report drafted when the failure is logged, and the run life of every well known without a rebuild.

09

Get more out of artificial lift

Production Engineering Manager

  • I know there are barrels in the lift. I cannot tell you which wells or how many.
  • Lift spend is up and production is flat.

Flat production against rising lift spend, a gas-lift system nobody has re-optimized, or failures concentrated in one lift type.

Discover
A lift value map on your own production, failure and cost data: which wells, which lift type, and what the data can actually support.
Align
The readiness gaps closed first, because a lift optimization that runs on bad measurement gets switched off by week three.
Capture
One pilot, measured against a baseline agreed before it starts.

Where we fit

And where we do not, said before you ask.

A fit

Onshore fields reached by road, with crews on routes and daily production per well.

Not yet

Offshore, or monthly allocated volumes only.
