About the Role
WorkSync runs a multi-tenant platform for energy operations where each customer gets an isolated environment. The application layer is in place: a Next.js front end, a Python service layer, the prioritization engine, and the route optimizer. This role owns everything between that application code and the cloud, which means infrastructure as code, tenant provisioning, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and the foundation for per-customer data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure as code to provision per-tenant environments, managed PostgreSQL, container services, DNS, and TLS.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for lint, test, build, and deploy across multiple repositories.
- Containerize the existing Python and Next.js services with production-grade images.
- Build tenant provisioning automation so a new customer environment stands up from a single command.
- Build the data pipeline foundations that move customer operational data (SCADA, ERP) into per-tenant databases.
- Implement monitoring, structured logging, health checks, and per-tenant alerting.
Requirements
- Deep experience with an infrastructure-as-code tool, applied to real production estate rather than tutorials.
- Strong Azure or AWS expertise: container services, managed PostgreSQL, and at least one managed data pipeline service.
- Production container experience, including writing images and orchestrating them.
- Strong Python, comfortable refactoring a large codebase into modular services.
- CI/CD built from scratch, not inherited.
- PostgreSQL schema design, performance tuning, and migrations.
Nice to Have
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS, especially isolated per-customer deployment models.
- Oil and gas or industrial data experience, including SCADA historians.
- Next.js deployment and server-side rendering hosting.
- Working understanding of SOC 2 controls and evidence collection.
